According to research, women on the PCOS spectrum are three times as likely to get emotionally stressed out than females without PCOS.

Women with PCOS have an increased production of cortisol (the stress hormone), which causes levels in the body to be dysregulated, increasing testosterone levels and worsening PCOS symptoms.
